Gratitude Journal

Hi!
I talked in Episode 8 about ways towards happiness, and one of the things I suggested was gratitude. Taking time each day to think about the things in your life that you are thankful for. It doesn't have to be something big, it can really be anything in your life. You can look around you at any moment (or look within you!) and see many things to be grateful for. Your clothes, your shoes, the fact that you are well fed, or not ill. You can be thankful for the fact that you can read this because you have a computer with internet access. Or you can be thankful that you can read at all.
Once you start thinking about things that you are grateful for, it is almost hard to stop. You just keep on thinking of another wonderful thing! It is a really fun exercise!
I encourage you to start a gratitude journal. One place where you write down your gratitudes daily (at least 5) and really give them a good thought and get yourself thinking deeply about how thankful you are for those things that you have or are.
This will undoubtedly give you a strong sense of positivity, and it will give you an opportunity each day to cultivate gratitude. Something that so easily is forgotten in this busy world.
Writing a gratitude journal will also allow you to look back at it anytime you are feeling down, or negative or stressed or worried. When you can read about all those amazing things that you have to be thankful for in life, it makes those day to day worries seem somewhat less important.
Honestly, it is worth the 5 minutes a day that it takes to write these gratitudes down.
Give it a try and you will fall in love with it!!
All the best, have a fabulous day!
Jen
