Kaizen Mondays!

People always talk about Mondays as being a day that they don't really look forward to at all. I don't want to generalize, but in this case, I feel I must. Most people head into Monday with a sort of "blah" feeling and are in a little mini mourning that the weekend is over. I have to say that this is sad, because it is surely a missed opportunity!
If we can head into this first day of the work week with a positive outlook and maybe a plan for the week about how we can improve one area of our lives, or make a commitment to ourselves to go this whole week working toward our goals. Let's say you want to make fitness more a part of your regular routine - well Monday is a great starting point! Perhaps you say I am going to go for an early morning walk or run 3 days this week - Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Then it breaks your goal down into a small incremement and gives you a short term, reasonable goal to work towards.
People seem to put too much stalk in New Year's Resolution time and vow to wait with their goals until then - why!?!?
When we can think of each week as a New Week -we can resolve weekly (even daily!) to focus on what it is that we want in our lives, and then we can work in small steps to achieve it.
Kaizen - continuous improvement - you must focus on the little things, and a positive outlook and small outlines steps can have a serious impact on your goal when things start to add up!
Good luck and try it out this week - what is your goal!?
Happy Monday!
Jen
